A non-judgemental space which allows us to work both individually and collectively on a variety of issues. Group therapy actively brings in multiple perspectives through which issues can be addressed and worked on in real time.
As we play, we create stories and situations which offer great insight into our internal states. A pioneering concept created and developed by Dr G. L. Sampoorna, Conscious Living is a structured flow of exercises; a workout for the mind, body and spirit, designed for the growth and upliftment of the ‘whole’ person. We believe that when our mind is in the right space, our entire body follows. Through this, we have the power to transform our physical and emotional health.
SHOTT stands for Simple Habits to Organically Transform Together.
This daily programme for wellbeing is open to all age groups and is curated from the wisdom and experience of over 35 years of therapeutic work. Various approaches in psychology are combined with different modalities such as sound work, body work and movement, and methods like Ho’oponopono, brain gym, etc. The clarity, focus and grounding we gain through Conscious Living facilitates increased productivity, efficiency and time-management. Through the expansion of mental and emotional flexibility, it paves the way for a deeper connection within, substantially enhancing our relationships with ourselves, our family and friends.
Our goal is empowerment, not dependence. You can fit these effective techniques in your daily life seamlessly to take charge, rejuvenate and relax. We understand that our fast paced lives and daily responsibilities make it easy to push self-care to the side. We recognize that habits take time to form. Although something is helpful, it can be difficult to develop consistent routines to reap the maximum benefit from it. Our objective is to assist people to have stability in their transformative process. Being with a group of people with a shared intention aids habit formation.
To enable this, we offer a regular, dedicated space with interesting, varied routines, preventing monotony. We activate whole brain functioning through the use of left and right hemispheres of the brain, striking a balance between ‘doing’ and ‘being’. Conscious Living encourages you to live with ease, in harmony.
Our aim is for you to have fun bringing change into your life. Our team of facilitators are readily available to support you. The point is not perfection, but being able to access increasing levels of joy, peace, authenticity and fulfilment.

Our lifestyle today is one of rush and haste. We are in a hurry. We often multitask, whether it is to eat in front of the TV or gobble up the food while working at an important task. We have no awareness of the food we are consuming.
Conscious Eating was created with the hope to bring our total awareness to our food and enhance the experience through mindful eating. We honour the food on our plate. We encourage the practice of gratitude along with the art of mindful eating and soft chewing. As we savour what we eat, our taste buds open up, leaving us satiated. Our need to over-eat dramatically reduces. Eating with awareness of our food, we grow accustomed to our body’s needs - what suits us and what doesn't. We intuitively begin to pick what is right for us. This inadvertently leads to a mind and body connect that supports a healthier and longer life.
Over the years, people around the world who have experienced our work, have had to travel to India to get more of it or would have to wait for our visits there. While our residential retreats would entail physical participation, we now have an online presence also.
Our online services are designed to contribute to growth and transformation for people around the globe. We have developed webinars and online sessions, opening up the possibility for people to easily empower themselves through our work, irrespective of distance.

Rathna Center for Conscious Living (RCCL) is dedicated to helping create a culture where psychological care is accessible to all, and living in balance is a normal part of everyone’s life. In line with this, we have initiated a number of unique projects.
The Beach Happiness Project
Once a week, we have early mornings on the Marina beach, inviting the public to participate in simple activities which are fun, yet transformative. We enjoy this opportunity of sharing the work with strangers, giving an opportunity to anyone who is around us to experience and benefit from a range of exercises that improve physical, mental and emotional health. We begin the morning with a joyous flow and camaraderie.
Volunteering at the Jail
RCCL is actively involved in Saidapet Subjail’s revolutionary project aimed at guiding first-time offenders onto a better path. Our team members conduct weekly sessions which combine several approaches to bring in mindfulness, and enhance emotional stability. This program has been found to be incredibly effective in enhancing the emotional wellbeing of first-time offenders, and in significantly reducing the rates of return to crime.
Living in Harmony
RCCL offers one free hour to support individuals on a need basis. Our facilitators are trained practitioners, and work with a variety of goals ranging from relationship issues, depression, anxiety, problems with control, anger, fear or guilt; to personal growth. The hour-long session would begin with a short discussion, followed by the appropriate process.
Maisha, Holistic Wellness Fest
A one-of-a-kind expo held in August 2017 is now planned as an annual event. Maisha was organised to bring together practitioners from different areas of psychology and other related modalities, to promote awareness amongst the public about the variety of services which come under the umbrella of psychology and wellbeing. It is a space for collaboration between different holistic health and mental health practitioners, aimed at enhancing the accessibility of psychological help and support for all.
We also have a Facebook group - Rathna Community for Conscious Living - aimed to provide small exercises to support people in living more conscious lives. You can join our group to gain access to deep simple methods to slow down and truly live.
